Security Policy

The Alexander Muss High School in Israel is very proud of its 37-year record regarding the safety and security of our students. We have always exercised utmost caution in planning and implementing the program. This extends to the formal activities on campus and during the field trips. We have also always carefully monitored our students during their free time away from campus. We state with great satisfaction that our prudent policy has not detracted from the Israel experience of our students.

Throughout the years we have constantly examined and re-examined our policies to ensure that we feel that we can continue to provide a safe environment for our students. Everything within our power is done to ensure participants' well being without compromising the integrity of our programs.

The State of Israel holds the safety of its people as its highest priority and AMHSI rigorously adheres to the strict security regulations imposed by the Government of Israel. All field trips (Tiyulim) are checked and cleared through the appropriate agencies. We also work very closely with the Jewish Agency's Department of Security to ensure we are fully compliant with their security standards and there is ongoing contact with the security authorities who coordinate all student travel in Israel (the "Situation Room"). Our educators are equipped with cell phones for instant communication in the event that changes occur in the course of a day. This practice also relates to changes in weather, auto accidents, high traffic, etc.

All of the staff at AMHSI take their job and its responsibilities very seriously. First and foremost, our focus is on the safety and security of our participants.
