Executive Director, North America

Dr. Leon Weissberg is a welcome addition to the executive staff of AMHSI. As the former Executive Director of the Jewish Education Commission of the Jewish Federation in Boca Raton for the past 19 years, as well as the Director of the Southern Region of the March of the Living, he brings with him an incredible wealth of experience and expertise on recruitment of Jewish teenagers for Israel programs and activities. Leon has taken over 1500 teens to Poland and Israel via the March of the Living and hundreds of teens on independent Israel programs. He was instrumental in choosing AMHSI in 2003 as the educational arm for a Boca Raton first time to Israel teachers trip. He was the head of two day schools in his 30 years in Florida and has been a friend of AMHSI almost from its inception. He has sat on various national boards of Jewish & educational organizations. We are truly thrilled that he has decided to join the AMHSI team and become an integral part of our future.
