RE-Learn
a journey through living history (visit historically important sites and remember their significance)
RE-Live
the natural beauty of Israel's varied landscape (hike in the Golan, camp in the desert, swim in the Dead Sea...)
RE-Love
the energy of the thriving, cosmopolitan nation of Israel today (cultural event in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv)
You asked and we heard you!
Not surprisingly, AMHSI alumni have often requested an opportunity to go back to Israel with the program that made such an impact on them and helped initiate their connection to Israel.
Unlike our popular adult trips which consist mostly of first-time visitors and parents of alumni, alumni themselves want to travel to Israel with their peers. And so we at AMHSI have heard your requests and are thrilled to present to you the opportunity to re-experience Israel, the AMHSI way!
The 12 day itinerary (with an option of extending your stay in Israel) takes into account that you've been to Israel before (and the fact that as an AMHSI alum, know more about the land, history, and culture of Israel than the average tourist does). The Alumni trip features the highlights of Israel that you remember fondly from your AMHSI session – some of your favorite tiyulim such as hiking Masada, visiting the Kotel, and swimming in the Dead Sea. But we have also added a whole new series of attractions that make this trip unique -- some destinations you either didn't attend as a student or some which weren't even available when you were at AMHSI -- some such highlights include touring an underground bullet factory, wading through Hezekiah's ancient water tunnel, and much, much more!!
You're not in High School anymore...
Unlike when you were a teenager and stayed in dorms on our Hod HaSharon campus, as alumni you will stay in hotels (plus one night in a Bedouin tent!). We will of course be visiting the campus for a special event with Alumni living in Israel. (And if there is a desire, the group can even stay on campus for a night in the newest dorm, just for "old times' sake".) Also, unlike when you were a teenager, alumni have neither tests to take nor papers to write!! You do, however, get to benefit from the same incredible AMHSI faculty and their unique interactive teaching methods -- without the homework!
Some Opportunities are Twice in a Lifetime!
You remember the once-in-a-lifetime experience you had as an AMHSI student; now you have the chance to re-experience it all over again! Join other alumni from across the United States learning, living and loving Israel!
