English and American Literature Teacher

Alexa Raine was born in London and made aliyah in January 1986 with her husband and (at that time) two children. She received a BA in English Literature from Westfield College, London University where she specialized in American Literature.

In 1989 Alexa joined our faculty as an English teacher. Over the years she has taught Business English and Communication skills for the British Council, as well as developing and teaching Advanced Literary Appreciation courses for adults. In 2002 Alexa began teaching Native English Speaker classes at WIZO Hadassim Junior High School and in 2004 she took over the Native English Speaker Department at Shazar Junior High School, where she still teaches today.
